Gorgonzola PDO Piccante

PDO Gorgonzola Piccante is an Italian cow’s milk, blue cheese.

Harder than the dolce type, PDO Gorgonzola Piccante is characterised by its white/straw coloured paste and the typical blue-green veins called erborinatura. These are natural veins, beneficial for the human body, develop during the aging and give the cheese its spicy, intense flavour.

PDO Gorgonzola Piccante has a hard, crumbly paste, with a strong aroma deriving from its 80 days minimum aging time.
Round in shape and with a rough rind, our PDO Gorgonzola Piccante is available in the following formats:
  • 12 Kg Wheels
  • 6 Kg Half wheel
  • Portions of 3 Kg, 1.5 Kg or 200 g
